DOT Launches Halal Food Tourism

Coinciding with the celebration of the Muslim festival Eid’l Adha, the Department of Tourism (DOT) launches the Halal Culinary Tourism series that introduces the initiative and showcases unique culinary finds in Mindanao. The video series can be viewed by the public on the Department’s social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube and Instagram starting today. 

Tourism Secretary Berna Romulo-Puyat said that the development of Halal Culinary Tourism aims to promote the culinary heritage of Mindanao and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) and consequently its destinations.

DOT Teams Up with Scarlet Belo and Cartoon Network to Take Safe Trips

The Department of Tourism (DOT) and WarnerMedia’s Cartoon Network continue their partnership to encourage everyone to start travelling safely around the country as travel restrictions are eased.

The S.A.F.E.T.R.I.P. campaign video features Scarlet Snow Belo asking the help of the Powerpuff Girls to find a safe way to explore the Philippines now that leisure travel is allowed.

The trio of Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup emphasized the need to follow S.A.F.E.T.R.I.P., which stands for Sanitize, Avoid mass gatherings, wear Face masks, use Electronic payments, always have your Temperature checked, follow Rules and regulations, stay updated on latest Information, and observe Physical distancing.

Bahay Pukyutan Playground Is Up In Museo Pambata

In commemoration of Manila Day, the Museo Pambata Foundation Inc. blessed their new playground space last June 24. The Bahay Pukyutan Playground features living and learning spaces for children and adults that emphasize the connection and importance of our environment and the natural world.

Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso and Vice Mayor Dr. Honey Lacuna graced the event and the Museo Pambata’s President, Bambi MaƱosa-Tanjutco, toured the guests around the new playground space.
