Araneta Group’s JAAF, DepED partner for Pocket Museum and Siningsaysay AR

J. Amado Araneta Foundation (JAAF), the social development arm of the Araneta Group, proudly works with the Department of Education (DepEd) for the nationwide promotion of the Gateway Gallery Pocket Museum mobile app and SiningSaysay Augmented Reality.

DepEd Memorandum 001, series of 2022, was signed by Secretary Leonor M. Briones last 10 January 2022. The partnership project was made possible through the Office of External Partnerships Service, under the leadership of USec. Tonito M.C. Umali. Esq.

One can access the SiningSaysay AR and download the Gateway Gallery Pocket Museum from Google Play (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.araneta.gatewaygallery&hl=en&gl=US) or Apple Store (https://apps.apple.com/ph/app/gateway-gallery-pocket-museum/id1538746605). This is aimed at providing teachers and learners with readily accessible digital technology platforms to learn about Philippine history and experience art at their fingertips. Using a smartphone, internet, and the mobile app, users can experience a painting come alive and tell the story of the country from key periods.

The memorandum, which can be accessed on the DepEd website (https://www.deped.gov.ph/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/DM_s2022_001.pdf) also provides a step-by-step user guide of the program for teachers and learners.

Gateway Gallery is Araneta City's art museum devoted to the promotion of Philippine culture, heritage, and art. It is managed by JAAF, a foundation dedicated to the vision and legacy of the company's founder.
