Loboc Children’s Choir Performs at The Manila Hotel and Manila Prince Hotel

Hotel guests may witness special performances of Loboc Children’s Choir as they are scheduled to sing at the lobby of Manila Prince Hotel on April 30, 2023 at 2:30 PM and at the grand lobby of The Manila Hotel on May 1, 2023 at 2:30 PM. 

Admission is free.

The renowned Loboc Children’s Choir has captivated audiences far and wide with their musical talent. Having won national and international competitions, the choir has grown into one of the Philippines’ most outstanding choirs today. 

Loboc Children’s Choir was founded in 1980, and within its forty-three years of existence, the choir has received accolades around the world as they held concerts in Austria, Belgium, China, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, and United States of America.  They took home the gold medal in both the Youth Category and Grand Prize at the 6th International Folksongs Festival “Europe and its Songs” held in Barcelona, Spain.

Emirates to expand global network with launch of services to Montréal in July

  • Airline spreads its wings to second Canadian gateway to meet demand for international travel between Canada and the rest of the world 
  • From July 5, daily flights to Montreal on widebody Boeing 777-300ER to complement daily A380 services to Toronto 
  • Airline’s network expands to 18 points across the Americas, including Canada, US, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina
  • Partnership with Air Canada enhances network coverage within Canada, US, Mexico, South America and the Caribbean 

Emirates today announced it will launch a new daily service from Dubai to Montreal, starting July 5. Montreal becomes Emirates’ second gateway in Canada, complementing its passenger and cargo services to Toronto, which have been operating to Ontario’s capital city since 2007.

The launch of services to Montreal comes as the UAE and Canada aim to deepen economic cooperation between the two nations and stimulate benefits to the aviation and tourism sectors, in addition to enhancing trade flows and commercial links. With the new daily flights, travelers will now have more choice when flying to Canada and are able to fly direct from Dubai to Canada’s two largest metropolitan hubs.

Emirates wishes ‘Eid Mubarak’ to all, celebrating Eid al Fitr onboard and in lounges

Marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan, Eid al Fitr is expected to begin on April 20 – 21, and Emirates will mark the occasion with an array of regional flavors onboard, traditional Eid dishes in the lounges, and new Arabic movies and content on ice.

From April 21 – 24, Economy passengers departing Dubai will be treated to the flavorsome favorites of Eid including chicken mandi in traditional spices, served with rice and crunchy fried onions, fish harra- a baked dory with spiced tomato sauce, accompanied by ghee rice and roasted pistachios, braised lamb with jameed, served with rice, roasted cashew nuts and almonds, or a seafood machbouse marinated in a myriad of Middle Eastern spices. Visa application volume registers 44% growth in 2022 against 2021

Visa applications from Philippines nearly touched the pre-pandemic levels in 2022 driven by pent-up demand, opening of international borders, and eased COVID-related protocols. According to VFS Global, the visa application volume from Philippines reached 91% of the 2019 pre-pandemic levels in 2022.

More than 24,000 Emirates cabin crew and ground staff complete training on hidden disabilities ahead of World Autism Day

With concerted efforts to further enhance support services for travelers with hidden disabilities including Autism, Emirates has rolled out specialized training to more than 24,000 global cabin crew and ground staff, collaborated with Dubai Airport on a useful travel planner and autism friendly route to make the pre-boarding experience more seamless, and implemented additional thoughtful measures to ensure passenger comfort onboard.

More than 24,000 cabin crew and ground staff globally have completed Emirates ‘Introduction to Autism and Hidden Disabilities’ training. The online course was first launched in 2022 and covers a range of topics from the UAE National Policy for People of Determination, recognizing autism, practical tips on how to assist passengers with hidden disabilities, responding with empathy, and information on the official support systems to help passengers in the airport.

Greenhills Mall was recently named one of San Juan City’s top taxpayers during the city’s foundation day on March 27th.

The recognition was given during the 116th Araw ng San Juan celebration. On behalf of the corporation, Ortigas Land Chief Finance Officer Davee Zuñiga received the award from San Juan councilors Totoy Bernardo, Bea de Guzman-Cabatbat, Paul Artadi, and Macky Mathay, and Rep. Bel Zamora.

Willy The Bear Hops to Manila Prince Hotel for Easter Sunday

Following the successful series of Willy The Bear Fair recently held at The Manila Hotel, a hoppin’ good time await guests at Manila Prince Hotel on April 9, 2023!

Manila Prince Hotel’s lobby will turn into a children’s fair for a fun-filled Easter celebration. Junior guests and their family will be entertained with exciting activities such as DIY coloring corner, face painting, balloon twister, bouncy inflatable castle, and an Easter egg hunt where the little egg hunters will be treated to gifts and surprises.  Indeed, it’s going to be an egg-citing way to spend time together as a family and enjoy the holiday!

Entry fee to the event is P450 nett which admits one (1) child aged 12 years old and below, and one (1) accompanying adult. Event will be held from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the lobby of Manila Prince Hotel.
