The Philippines aims to win as the World’s Leading Beach Destination 2024, the World’s Leading Dive Destination 2024, and the World’s Leading Island Destination 2024. The country is defending champion as the World’s Leading Beach and Dive Destination, with awards won last year.

Also, popular tourist destinations across the country are among the nominees in various categories.

Davao’s top designers showcase 100-piece collection for the Benefit of the Weaving Communities of b.LOOM Project

Members of the Davao Fashion and Design Council Foundation Inc. (DFDCI) recently presented a 100-piece collection during The Stellar Fashion Gala, a fundraising charity event for the benefit of b.LOOM Project’s weaving communities in partnership with Mindanao Trade Expo Foundation, Inc. (MTEFI).

Held at the luxurious Samal Grand Ballroom at Discovery Samal in Davao, the Luxe Resort collection highlighted the use of Philippine tropical fabrics–abaca, bandala, piña, banana, kawayarn and other textiles–produced alongside DOST- Philippine Textile Research Institute by designers such as Aztec Barba, Dodjie Batu, Emi Englis, Popoy Barba, Edgar Buyan, Egay Ayag, Windel Mira, and Benjie Panizales.

Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco celebrated the newest recognition of Angeles City, Pampanga as Asia’s Best Emerging Culinary City Destination at the World Culinary Awards Gala Ceremony 2024. Conferred on Wednesday (October 3), the award further solidifies Angeles City’s status as a rising star in global food tourism.

"This prestigious recognition of Angeles City as Asia's Best Emerging Culinary City Destination underscores the exceptional talent, creativity, and dedication of its local chefs and food artisans. The city’s rich culinary heritage, led by its iconic dishes like sisig, continues to captivate food enthusiasts not only in the Philippines but across the world, showcasing the power of Filipino cuisine on the global stage," Secretary Frasco said.

Araneta City blooms in pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Breast cancer continues to be a pressing health issue in the Philippines. According to the Department of Health, 38,000 Filipinas lost their lives in the fight against breast cancer between 2018 and 2021, a heartbreaking reminder of the impact this disease has on countless women and their families.

This October, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Araneta City is taking a prominent stand in raising awareness for this vital cause. With the theme "Bloom in Pink," the City of Firsts is transforming into a symbol of hope, shining a light on the strength of women battling breast cancer while providing unwavering support to survivors.

JAAF X PPI FOR iLEAP CATALYZE

The Araneta Group, through its social development arm, the J. Amado Araneta Foundation (JAAF), is committed to fostering inclusive and sustainable economic growth, employment, and decent work opportunities for all Filipino youth. By collaborating with diverse stakeholders, JAAF strives to equip disadvantaged youth with the skills and resources to overcome economic challenges and achieve self-sufficiency.

JAAF works with Philippine Pizza Holdings, Inc (PPI) for the Immersion Link for Enablers and Adapters Program (iLEAP) since 2021. This partnership was expanded for the USAID CATALYZE Asia Social Protection (ASP) Activity during the ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Understanding last 13 September 2024 at Novotel Manila Araneta City.

Araneta City named among Philippines' top developers in BCI Asia Awards 2024

The City of Firsts is one of ten awardees in this year's awards

Araneta City was among the developers in the Philippines to be given the BCI Asia Top 10 Developer Award for 2024 for its visionary approach to urban development, with a special focus on the groundbreaking design and features of Gateway Mall 2. 

Given by BCI Central in a ceremony on September 27 at the Shangri-La The Fort, the award places the City of Firsts among the leading developers in the country and across the continent and celebrates its industry-leading innovations in modern architecture, sustainability, and exceptional user experience.
