Araneta City spotlights women this March with ‘EmpowHER’

The City of Firsts celebrates National Women’s Month through a range of curated programs, events, and offerings

Over the course of history, women have embraced diverse roles at home, in the workplace, and within their communities. From nurturing families to leading teams and igniting social change, women remain at the forefront of progress. They continue to inspire future generations by redefining possibilities and shaping a more inclusive future for all.

In line with the celebration of the National Women’s Month, Araneta City marks this occasion under the theme EmpowHER, aligned with this year’s global call to “Give to Gain,” which highlights women empowerment as an investment in collective progress. From runway spectacles and interactive art exhibits to curated bazaars and community gatherings, Araneta City-zens can look forward to meaningful activities and offers that spotlight women’s talent, creativity, and value.

Good Food, Great Taste for Women (monthlong)

World Kitchens in Gateway Mall 2 celebrates women through taste and talent. The dining destination honors Chef Jessie Sincioco, its only woman chef and a globally respected culinary icon who earned two L’Assiette D’Or trophies at Chef’s On Parade and was chosen to cook for Pope Francis during his 2015 visit to the Philippines.

Over at World Cellar, an exclusive Italian wine‑tasting event on March 26 invites women to enjoy guided pairings in an afternoon of elegance, connection, and celebration.

Select food brands are also offering special deals to make the month sweeter and more delightful for women. Dairy Queen offers a special Blueberry Popping Candy Tin Cake for only P349 (P90 off) from March 6 to 8, while Pizza Hut adds to the celebration with Molly’s Fun Pair—one large pan pizza (any flavor) paired with a limited‑edition Molly tote and charm for only P999—available from March 10 to 31.

PaintHERs: Women in Arts (March 7 to 15)

The City of Firsts will elevate the art exhibit experience by highlighting the creations of talented tattoo artists at the Quantum Skyview (Upper Ground B) of Gateway Mall 2. Beyond an exhibit, it will serve as a space where interested participants can get permanent or temporary tattoos from gifted artists. Participants can showcase and hone their creative prowess through other activities such as an art workshop, a flower bar, and a DIY pouch station.

On March 8, a women’s forum will bring together inspiring voices for meaningful conversations on empowerment and progress. The event will also feature special appearances from the reigning Binibining Pilipinas queens and an empowering performance from P-pop girl group KAIA.

RunHERs: Women in Sports (March 8)

At the Green Gate of the Smart Araneta Coliseum, women can join an invigorating yoga class organized by the aRUNeta Run Club. To commemorate International Women’s Day, participants are encouraged to wear purple as they move in unity for empowerment. As a bonus, women participants will get free skincare products.

GameHERs: Women in eSports (March 14 to 15)

Women gamers stand up! To celebrate women’s growing influence in the eSports community, the City of Firsts will host an interactive event where female gamers can connect, talk about gaming, and sell their merchandise. Head on to the activity area of Ali Mall for an eSports extravaganza with women!

EntreprenHERs: Women in Business (March 20 to 22)

At Gateway Mall 1, a Proudly Original Products of Quezon City (POP QC) Women’s Bazaar will be a space for shoppers to support women-led businesses. The bazaar will feature an array of goods and products made by women across the metro. Beyond being a commercial activity, the bazaar aims to celebrate the brilliance of women entrepreneurs and their critical contributions to the economy.

InnovateHERs: Women in Science (March 28 to 29)

To commemorate women’s critical role in science, Gateway Mall 1 will host a forum highlighting their role in pushing the boundaries of innovation and technology. From cutting-edge projects that advance general scientific knowledge to pioneering programs that raise awareness of natural hazards, the forum will spotlight how women’s ingenuity impacts communities and inspires the next generation of innovators.

More treats for women (monthlong)

Novotel Manila Araneta City honors women with exclusive indulgence and wellness experiences curated to help them shine even more. Special offers across its dining outlets (Food Exchange, Prana, Indulge, Che Buono) and discounts on InBalance Spa and facial services await guests until March 31. More details are available at bit.ly/NMACMadeForHer.

“Women play an essential role in shaping our communities and advancing progress across all sectors. Through EmpowHER, Araneta City is honored to celebrate their contributions and provide experiences that uplift and inspire,” said Marjorie Go, Araneta City’s VP for Marketing.

More than a festivity, Araneta City’s ‘EmpowHER’ celebration reaffirms the City of Firsts’ commitment to championing women, recognizing that when women are given meaningful support and opportunity, communities gain lasting and shared growth.
