LOVE, MARINA: Celebrating love for Filipino fashion sets book launch and fashion show on March 3

Far Eastern University (FEU), in partnership with Tesoros, presents a special book talk and fashion presentation for LOVE, MARINA on March 3 at 4:30 PM at Tesoros Makati.

Written by Vicky Veloso-Barrera and edited by Thelma San Juan, LOVE, MARINA is a lovingly curated coffee table book that pays homage to pioneering designer Marina Reyes Antonio.

The book honors Marina’s impeccable sense of style, meticulous attention to detail, and ingenious innovations that shaped generations of women’s fashion. Both a visual inspiration and a practical guidebook, it captures treasured memories from family, friends, and clients, weaving together personal recollections with archival images that celebrate a remarkable design legacy.

The event highlights a book talk offering deeper insights into Marina’s life, work, and enduring influence on Filipino fashion.

A Legend Reborn: National Artists’ Rock Opera Ballet “Tales of the Manuvu” Returns to the Stage this 2026

Alice Reyes Dance Philippines (ARDP), in collaboration with the University of  the Philippines, the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, and the Cultural Center of the  Philippines, with the generous support of the Office of Senator Pia Cayetano, is proud to announce the  2026 restaging of Tales of the Manuvu. Premiered in 1977, this production is the first Filipino rock opera  ballet, masterfully weaving indigenous mythology with the vibrant energy of rock and pop music. 

The 2026 season begins with performances at the University Theater, UP Diliman, on February 27–28,  followed by a strictly limited run at the Proscenium Theater in Rockwell, Makati, on March 28–29.

Beyond Tradition Exhibits Chinese-Filipino Artists In Time for the Chinese Lunar New Year

In time for the Chinese Lunar New Year, Gateway Gallery presents an exhibition from its art collection of artworks created by Chinese-Filipino artists. “Beyond Tradition: Evolving Chinese-Filipino Artists” focuses on the traditional Chinese art and how it evolved in form and philosophy in modern and contemporary times. 

Beyond Tradition, which opened on February 12 and will run until March 14, 2026, features 8 Chinese-Filipino artists and 2 Filipino artists. The collection is complemented by three works from guest artist and scholar Arnulfo Esguerra. The exhibition is headlined by senior Chinese art master Lupicinio “Peter” Ng, who currently serves as Head of the Ateneo Confucius Institute.

the Far Eastern University Theater Guild (FTG) presents BANGAW, a Filipino play with music adapted from William Golding’s classic story, Lord of the Flies. 

Written by Gold Villar-Lim, with music by Vince Lim, and directed by PETA Senior Artist-Teacher and FTG Artistic Director Dudz Teraña, the production explores the meaning of survival through a distinctly Filipino lens.

Asia’s biggest dog show is back at the Smart Araneta Coliseum

Canines are set to take center stage at the biggest dog show in Asia — the Philippine Circuit 2026 — from January 21 to 26, 2026, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Now in its 12th year, the Philippine Circuit is organized by the Philippine Canine Club, Inc. (PCCI), a non-stock and non-profit organization dedicated to promoting love and compassion for purebred dogs. The event demonstrates PCCI’s commitment to propelling the canine experience onto the global stage. 

This year’s spectacle will be headlined by the 2026 Federation Cynologique Internationale (FCI) World Grooming Competition, which will highlight the skill and artistry in dog grooming.
